| as usual, please do not blur the ic/ooc line. if you need help in solving an issue regarding this (or anything else), our drop box is always available to you. we are here to help! we do allow challenges, but please limit them to 2 per celebrity (3 applications total for one celebrity). also, please note that we reserve the right to change the rules at any time if something pops up, but we will make a mention of it in the adds post if something like this occurs. adds will be done monday, wednesday, and friday nights. we will not accept anyone who is not at least 18 years of age. your celebrity must have credentials of some sort to be accepted, such as a wikipedia page or a link on a modeling agency website. tiktokers will be accepted on a case-by-case basis depending on their level of popularity. please know that we have a zero tolerance policy regarding bullying and harassment. this includes hate speech, the use of which will result in removal. we shouldn't have to say this, but please be respectful and mindful of others. |

| thank you for considering our community! upon applying, please make sure that you have a username related to your character with no numbers or underscores. please make sure that your userinfo is visible and do not have anyone added that is not in the community. request membership when you apply, backdate your entries, and make sure that you have read the rest of the rules. don't be shy, feel free to ask us any questions in our screened post should any arise! we will let you know if anything is missing from your application, we can't see your examples, etc... please do not ask why you were not accepted to the community, especially in the case of challenges. we reserve the right to not answer such questions. |

| we ask that you update once every 3 weeks with at least 100 words. we will also accept pictures with hovers, or playlists that clearly had effort put into it. in addition, there will be an occasional activity post to gauge who is still active. we hope to see music or random posts on our fp for others to comment, as well! we encourage you to keep checking your fp, commenting around, and welcoming new members! being active lets us know that you're still interested in being here in between activity checks, should a question regarding overrides arise! |
| group chats |
| although you are more than welcome to have small chats with friend groups or if you are using it to promote an activity such as a game or movie night, we do not endorse community-wide chats. in the past, we have seen that people tend to be more active in the chats instead of the friends page. as wire is not a requirement, we do not want this to happen. we want everyone to feel welcome! if there are any issues or questions regarding this, please comment our screened post. |
| passes |
| as stated above, we require you to update with at least 100 words once every 3 weeks. however, you can earn points towards an update pass! update passes cannot be used more than twice in a row. if you ask to be removed, your points will immediately be removed, as well. if you are removed for not updating, your points will stay until the next set of adds and removals. information on how passes can be earned is here. |
| opt-outs |
| as of 5/7/23, we are implementing an opt-out system. members can earn an opt-out of updating by either: 1) posting in our subcommunity AND commenting 5 posts or updates within a three-week period, OR 2) commenting 10 posts or updates within a three-week period. opt-outs cannot be used more than one in a row, but you can use a pass directly after an opt-out if you have earned one. |
| hiatuses and extensions |
| we understand that things come up in life unexpectedly, and are more than happy to help accomodate you in any way that we can. that being said, we do need to have seen some form of activity from you in the period between update cycles in order to grant this for you. just drop us a comment and we will get back to you as soon as possible. new rule as of 6/23/23: hiatuses and extensions will not be granted if a member has not shown any form of activity in between their update due dates. |
| overrides |
| please ask us before applying for an override! overrides will be looked at on a case-by-case basis, and we will use PUBLIC activity to make our decision. this means that we will not be using wire to gauge how active a member is, as we cannot see their conversations. as long as a member is commenting and posting on a semi-regular basis, and their friends button is not out-of-date by more than three adds cycles, and they have responded to their update or intro comments within a week, they will not be considered available for override. new rule as of 3/24/24 for additional clarity around overrides:: if an override is approved, the challenger only has 24 hours to apply. after 24 hours, counted from the time the override was approved, the initial person may fix whatever issue(s) that allowed them to be overridden, and the override will no longer stand. if the initial person has not fixed their issues, please comment us again to ask about an override. clarification as of 8/14/24: your update is due three weeks from the date of your last update, whether it is an adds night or not. for example, if you are due to update on thursday and fail to do so, while you would not be removed until adds on friday, your role will be up for override. however, as previously stated, we will take friends list and friends page activity into account when considering overrides. as always, please feel free to ask for an extension if you feel you will not be able to update on time. |
